Tragic Loss of Lives
In a heartbreaking turn of events, four lives were lost in the towns of Huwwara and Tulkarm in the West Bank. Settlers’ bullets in Huwwara tragically killed Labib Dhamidi, a young man. This incident brings the total number of casualties to four since the early hours of Thursday.
Escalation of Violence
The Palestinian Ministry of Health confirmed the death of a young Palestinian man who was shot by the occupation forces in Huwwara. Additionally, live bullets and suffocation injured 58 people during the aggression of the occupation forces and settlers in the same town.
Israeli Army's Response
The Israeli occupation army spokesman announced the killing of a Palestinian on suspicion of shooting at an Israeli vehicle in Huwwara. The army surrounded a house where the suspect had barricaded himself and a clash ensued, resulting in his death.
Town Under Attack
Dozens of settlers, protected by the Israeli occupation forces, attacked Palestinian homes in Huwwara. As a result, the occupation army decided to close shops in the town to strengthen security measures.
Clashes in Tulkarm
In Tulkarm camp, the occupation forces stormed the area, leading to two separate clashes. Tragically, two Palestinians lost their lives, and five Israeli soldiers were injured, one of whom is in critical condition.
Armed Attack Foiled
The occupation forces reported that they foiled an armed attack near the Avnei Hefetz settlement in Tulkarm. The area witnessed violent clashes between the resistance factions and the occupation army.
United States Condemnation
The United States, through a spokesman for the US National Security Council, condemned all acts of violence in the Palestinian territories and Israel. They called on all parties to exercise restraint and calm tensions. Ongoing talks are being held with Israeli partners and the Palestinian Authority.
Tensions and Al-Aqsa Mosque
These incidents occur amidst escalating tensions and Israeli settlers' raids on Al-Aqsa Mosque during the Jewish Sukkot holiday. Hamas, the Islamic Resistance Movement, has called on Palestinians to defend the mosque by marching and gathering inside it. They have also established new rules of engagement with the occupation army in the West Bank to prevent further incursions into the camps.
