Minister of Education, Mr. Jalaal Al-Tabtabai, presented a visual report concerning the axes of the Ministry of Education's reform plan, which consists of six main axes, each containing several objectives, the most notable of which are:
1. Administrative and Financial Axis: Aiming to issue a quality guide, reduce budget wastage, and direct spending towards the development of education and teacher training.
2. Axis Related to International Education Standards (Curricula): Aiming to enhance coordination with Gulf, Arab, and international organizations in the fields of education and teaching.
3. Axis Related to Education Development: Aiming to benefit from global experiences in developed countries (Finland, Singapore, and South Korea), establish the "Spire Sports Complex," issue teacher licenses, and create a high achievers’ office.
4. Engineering Axis: Aiming to construct and prepare smart schools and classrooms, as well as rehabilitate and renovate old schools.
5. Axis Related to the Mechanization of the Ministry: Aiming to develop electronic communication between parents, teachers, and students and enhance e-learning.
6. Axis Related to Initiatives: Aiming to transition to smart schools.
The Council of Ministers praised the diligent efforts made by Minister of Education Mr. Jalaal Al-Tabtabai and the officials of the Ministry of Education in preparing the reform plan. The Council of Ministers decided to assign Minister of Education Mr. Jalaal Al-Tabtabai to continue the efforts and the procedures related to the reform plan for the Ministry of Education, and to submit a periodic report (every 6 months) to the Council of Ministers, outlining the achievements and obstacles the ministry may face in achieving the reform plan, along with appropriate solutions and a timetable for implementing this plan.
