Awazem Charity Concludes Waqf Innovation Conference Focused on Sustainable Development
Awazem Charity has concluded the second edition of its
conference, “Innovation Strategies in Islamic Waqf and Sustainable
Development 2026,” held at the Kuwait National Library under the patronage
of Minister of Social Affairs, Family and Childhood Affairs Dr. Amthal
Al-Huwailah. The event brought together representatives from government
agencies, charitable organizations, the private sector, and experts from across
the Gulf and Arab world.

Al-Busais said discussions centered on modernizing waqf practices and
leveraging innovation to improve the management and investment of endowments

Quranic Platforms Society Restores Sight to 125 Patients in Somalia
The Quranic Platforms Society has successfully carried out 125
eye surgeries in Somalia through its humanitarian initiative, “Help Me See,”
providing vital medical assistance to patients suffering from preventable
vision problems.
Dr. Mohammed Al-Omran, Director General of the society, said
restoring sight extends beyond medical treatment, enabling beneficiaries to
regain independence, pursue education and employment, and participate more
fully in daily life. He noted that the project reflects the humanitarian values

Kuwait Reaffirms Commitment to Peace and International Stability at UN General Assembly

Social Affairs Ministry Invites Charities to Shape New Executive Regulations
Kuwait’s Ministry of Social Affairs has invited all licensed
charitable organizations to submit proposals for the executive regulations of
Decree-Law No. 87 of 2026 governing charitable and humanitarian work.
According to ministry sources, the initiative aims to involve
stakeholders directly in the drafting process and benefit from their practical
expertise. Charitable organizations have been asked to provide specific
recommendations on regulatory provisions, procedures, and governance mechanisms
linked to the implementation of the law.
The ministry said submissions should focus on practical and

the charitable sector. Organizations have been requested to submit their
proposals before the specified deadline to allow for detailed review.
Separately, the ministry instructed charities to update their
records within its electronic system and provide the latest approved

Islamic Affairs Ministry Highlights Parents’ Rights and Family Values
Kuwait’s Ministry of Awqaf and Islamic Affairs underscored the

Farwaniya Governor Calls for Greater Empowerment of People with Disabilities
Farwaniya Governor Sheikh Athbi Nasser Al-Athbi Al-Sabah

His remarks came during the “Threads of Hope” initiative,

The program brought together 20 women with visual, hearing, and physical
disabilities alongside non-disabled participants in an inclusive training
environment.
The governor praised efforts to promote inclusion and skill
development, emphasizing that empowering people with disabilities strengthens
their participation in society and helps them achieve their aspirations.
Organizers highlighted the initiative’s focus on teaching macramé craftsmanship
while fostering social integration and creativity. The project also reflects

Kuwaiti Support Expands Educational Capacity with New Classrooms in Yemen
Five new classrooms and supporting facilities have been
inaugurated at Al-Khansa Girls’ Basic Education School in Jaar, Yemen’s Abyan
Governorate, through funding from donors via Kuwait’s Sheikh Abdullah Al-Nouri
Charity Society.
The project was implemented by Al-Sabeel Foundation for Social
Development and aims to address overcrowding at one of Abyan’s oldest
educational institutions, established in 1967 and currently serving around
1,800 students.
Deputy Governor of Abyan Mahdi Al-Hamed said the expansion
would help accommodate growing student enrollment and improve learning
conditions. Local officials praised the long-standing humanitarian support
provided by Kuwaiti donors to southern Yemen and highlighted the project’s
anticipated contribution to enhancing the educational process.
The initiative forms part of broader Kuwaiti charitable

Jahra Hospital has launched Kuwait’s first specialized
training initiative designed to support families caring for children with
complex medical conditions at home, helping ensure a safer transition from
hospital care to home-based treatment.
The program, implemented by the Complex Medical Conditions
Unit under the leadership of Dr. Ahmed Jaafar, provides caregivers with
structured training modules, competency assessments, educational materials, and
practical guidance on medical equipment use and emergency response procedures.
Families will also receive emergency kits for tracheostomy and feeding tube
care.
Hospital officials said the initiative strengthens the role of
families as essential partners in pediatric healthcare while improving

128 Nations Back Kuwait’s Initiative for Global Duchenne Awareness Day
Kuwait has secured the support of 128 countries for its
proposal to designate September 7 as World Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy Day,
marking a significant international achievement in raising awareness of the
rare genetic disorder.
Speaking at the health awareness forum “Care That Changes
Lives,” Assistant Undersecretary for Public Health Dr. Monther Al-Hasawi said
Kuwait has developed a comprehensive approach to Duchenne care, including early
diagnosis, genetic testing, advanced gene therapies, and continued medical and
psychological support.
Officials noted that national genetic screening programs have
sharply reduced the number of new cases, while cutting-edge treatments have
improved patients’ quality of life. Kuwait’s proposal was submitted to the
United Nations General Assembly and gained broad international backing,
reinforcing global efforts to prioritize awareness, research, and treatment for
the disease.

‘Sahel’ Launches New Government Reporting Service for Citizens and Residents
Kuwait’s unified electronic services platform, Sahel, has
introduced a new feature called “Balligh” (Report), enabling citizens and
residents to submit complaints, reports, and observations directly to
government agencies through a single digital portal.
The Executive Committee of Sahel and Sahel Business said the
service is designed to strengthen communication between the public and
government entities, improve service quality, and accelerate responses to
issues affecting daily life. Users can electronically track the status of their
submissions, enhancing transparency and efficiency.
The initial phase includes participation from the Ministries
of Public Works, Health, and Commerce and Industry, as well as several public
authorities, including the Municipality, Capital Markets Authority, Nazaha, and
food and telecommunications regulators. Additional government entities are
expected to join in future phases.

Kuwait and Türkiye Discuss Expanding Security and Judicial Cooperation

focused on enhancing coordination in security and criminal matters, exchanging
expertise, and developing institutional mechanisms that improve operational
efficiency. Al-Wuhaib conveyed the greetings of First Deputy Prime Minister and
Minister of Interior Sheikh Fahad Al-Yousef Al-Sabah and reaffirmed Kuwait’s
