The New Face of War on Islam

Those Who Were Invaded in Their Own
Homeland
Anas ibn Malik reported the Prophet as saying, “Use your property, your persons and your tongues in
striving with the polytheists.” This hadith clearly shows the
integration of economic, military, and media jihad in confronting the
disbelievers with all means of resistance, without withholding any material or
moral strength to thwart their schemes: “Perhaps Allah
will restrain the [military] might of those who disbelieve. And Allah is
greater in might and stronger in [exemplary] punishment.” [An-Nisa: 84]
The tools of warfare of colonialism have
drastically changed, and the battlefields have expanded to include land, sea,
and air.
Likewise, the means of media and the crafting
of emotions and thoughts have changed. Words, images, news, commentary, books,
newspapers, radio, television—even songs and jokes—have all become skillfully
directed tools towards predetermined goals and according to deliberate plans.
Our enemies have succeeded in their raids
against the Muslim Ummah. They have utilized the latest achievements of the
human mind to tempt us away from our religion and to steal our lands from us.
So, what have we prepared to defend our
sanctities? To protect our heritage? And to safeguard both our worldly life and
our Hereafter?
I have no concern with hot wars, I am not one
of their men. Rather, I focus here on media—both defensive and offensive—and on
economics, in terms of direction and dominance. Global colonialism is
determined to assassinate our religion and finish it off, both spiritually and
physically. It exploits hardships, droughts, years of famine, and hunger to
pressure the oppressed into selling their consciences and abandoning their
beliefs.
The news we receive from Africa and Asia is
terrifying—it snatches sleep from the eyes of those still slumbering!
Islamic da’wah in the past relied on individual
efforts, the high moral conduct of Muslim traders and Sufis, and the constant
generosity of our wealthy individuals to cover gaps and win hearts.
They achieved remarkable success, extending Islam into the depths of both
ancient continents.
However, these old methods have weakened, and
their outcomes have become distant.
This is because the opposing propaganda uses
collective effort, not individual! The services offered to the poor and
destitute are beyond count—and they are backed by insightful strategies.
Colonial states spare no effort in slaughtering Islam—often without a knife, or
with a knife if resistance intensifies and the victim clings to life!
It is therefore necessary to re-evaluate the
methods by which our religion is presented—and the ways by which it is
defended.
