Kuwait: Unfading Aid – Over 2 Million Dinars in Hours for Gaza

In a scene brimming with generosity, affirming the deep-rooted humanitarian spirit in the conscience of the Kuwaiti people, donations for the "Faza'at Gaza – Kuwait Is By Your Side" campaign surpassed 2 million Kuwaiti Dinars in just a few hours. This historic response to the cry for help from wounded Gaza saw the participation of over 35,000 donors.

Directives from the Political Leadership and the Pulse of the Kuwaiti Street

The campaign launched at dawn on Sunday, August 3, 2025, in execution of the high directives from the political leadership. It received direct support from Her Excellency the Minister of Social Affairs, Family, and Childhood Affairs, Dr. Amthal Al-Huwaileh, and was supervised by the Ministry of Social Affairs. The initiative was coordinated with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and involved the participation of the Kuwait Red Crescent Society and over 51 approved charitable organizations and endowments.

Iman Al-Enezi, Acting Director of the Charitable Societies and Endowments Department, announced the opening of donations through a unified electronic link advertised on the Ministry's official platforms. She praised the exceptional turnout the campaign witnessed from its very first moments.

Al-Enezi stated in a declaration to the News Channel: "The campaign was launched to address the current humanitarian catastrophe in the Gaza Strip and to provide food, medical, and relief support to affected civilians, reflecting Kuwait's leadership and the humanity of its people."

She confirmed that the campaign will continue until next Tuesday evening. Charitable organizations and endowments are committed to purchasing food items exclusively from the Kuwait Flour Mills & Bakeries Company, in accordance with Cabinet Decision No. (1461). All in-kind donations will be handed over to the Kuwait Red Crescent Society, which will coordinate their transport via the Kuwaiti air bridge in cooperation with the Ministry of Defense and Foreign Affairs.

Head of Charitable Associations Union Explains Aid Delivery Mechanism

In response to inquiries from benefactors, Saad Marzouq Al-Otaibi, Head of the Union of Charitable Societies and Endowments, said: "The path to Gaza remains as it was; aid is delivered in cooperation with the Kuwait Air Force, passing through the Egyptian Red Crescent, and reaching the Palestinian Red Crescent, to ensure its safe entry."

He added: "We are working on establishing a precise mechanism to track materials and monitor their progress, in addition to creating a clear system for delivering aid within Gaza. Should any obstacles arise that prevent the entry of aid, we will not send it until its safe arrival is guaranteed, or we will adjust the implementation plan in coordination with relevant authorities."

Al-Otaibi concluded his statement by saying: "Your trust is an entrusted responsibility, and our associations are reliable partners, keen to deliver aid to our people in Gaza without delay or shortcoming."

Active Participation from Namaa Charitable Society

For his part, Abdulaziz Al-Kandari, Deputy Executive Vice President at Namaa Charitable Society, expressed his pride in the society's participation in the national campaign. He said in a special statement: "Namaa Charitable Society participates in the 'Faza'at Gaza – Kuwait Is By Your Side' campaign out of our belief in our humanitarian and religious duty towards our people in the Strip, and as an extension of our relief efforts that have been ongoing for years in Palestine."

Al-Kandari continued: "From the very first moment, we mobilized our electronic, human, and media resources to facilitate the reception of donations and implement projects immediately and systematically, in accordance with the instructions of the Ministry of Social Affairs, to achieve the greatest possible impact."

He indicated that Namaa Charitable Society dedicated field and administrative teams to supervise the donation collection stages and submit daily reports to regulatory bodies to ensure transparency and effectiveness.

Cross-Border Solidarity: "Kuwait Is By Your Side" More Than Just a Slogan

Within hours, the campaign's donations exceeded 700,251 Dinars from 20,407 donors, before the numbers later jumped past the million-dinar mark. This signifies the deep humanitarian awareness characteristic of the Kuwaiti people and their absolute trust in their charitable institutions.

Because Kuwait has never been far from Palestine, this campaign reaffirms that Palestine is not just a political issue, but a Kuwaiti humanitarian issue that resides in the collective conscience of the nation.
