Gaza is Starving
Chivalry of the Pre-Islamic Era vs. Savagery of Western Civilization!

Starvation is a deadly weapon
While humans may endure the pain of hunger, the cries of starving children are far crueler and agonizing. One might bear their own hunger pangs, but they are powerless to endure the hunger of their own children, the very flesh of their hearts.
The killing by starvation and
thirst currently being carried out by the Zionist occupation against
innocent Gazans is the cruelest, most painful, barbaric, and criminal form of
killing. This is because the soul's departure through death by hunger or thirst
takes longer than any other form of death known to humanity, accompanied by
terrible pains and intense agony that ravage the body until the soul leaves.
The siege imposed by the criminal
Zionist occupation on innocent, exhausted Gaza is a deadly, brutal, and
criminal blockade. It is condemned and criminalized by human rights
conventions, international law, and United Nations principles. The occupation
has imposed a complete blockade by land, sea, and air on tiny Gaza, cutting off
water, food, medicine, clothing, and electricity. They have bombed hospitals,
bakeries, and water wells, destroying all the semblance of life.
Starvation:
A Weapon of Criminals
In the seventh year of the Prophet's
mission, the disbelievers of Mecca imposed a siege on the Prophet Muhammad
(peace be upon him), his companions, and his clan of Banu Hashim and Banu
Al-Muttalib. They prohibited marriage and all forms of interaction with
them, and they cut off food until hunger gnawed at them, their bodies weakened,
they fell ill, and they ate leather and tree leaves. The cries of starving
children echoed throughout Mecca.
The
Honor of Quraysh Disbelievers vs. The Savagery of Western Civilization
When the stomachs of the besieged
children were empty and their groans of hunger grew louder, the disbelievers
of Quraysh showed more honor and greater chivalry than all the people of modern
Western civilization in America and Europe. Not only did the West remain
silent about the siege of Gaza, but they also supported the occupation and
participated in the crime of besieging and starving children, the elderly, and
the sick. In contrast, the disbelievers of Mecca were more civilized, refined,
and honorable than all of Western civilization. There were many manifestations
of this:
1. During the three years of unjust
siege imposed by the disbelievers of Mecca, not a single person among the
besieged died of hunger, even though they ate leather and tree leaves due to
extreme hunger. In Gaza alone, however, within just two months of siege and
starvation, over 100 lives were lost to hunger.
2. Among the disbelievers of Mecca, some smuggled
food to the besieged. They succeeded in these smuggling attempts and
delivered some food that alleviated the pains of hunger and siege for the
innocent besieged. Among those who did this were Hisham ibn Amr ibn Lu'ayy,
Hakim ibn Hizam, Abu Al-Bakhtari ibn Hisham, and others.
3. The compassionate and honorable people among the Quraysh disbelievers did not just deliver food to the checkpoints or turn back when discovered. Instead, they fought for their objective and clashed with their opponents, even with their leader Abu Jahl himself, to deliver food by force and struggle to the innocent besieged.
In one of these food smuggling
operations, Hakim ibn Hizam was leading an attempt when it was discovered. Abu
Jahl himself confronted him to prevent the food delivery. Abu Al-Bakhtari ibn
Hisham intervened, trying to persuade Abu Jahl with logic and reason, arguing
that this was a humanitarian duty so that children would not die. Abu Jahl
insisted on his stance, so Abu Al-Bakhtari ibn Hisham fought him and struck him
with a camel's jawbone, splitting his face and making him bleed. The food
smuggling attempt was successful.
Will the entire world, especially the
West—which claims to be civilized—learn humanity, gallantry, chivalry, and
fortitude from the disbelievers of Mecca and the people of the pre-Islamic
era? Will they lift the unjust siege that has killed the people of Gaza by
hunger and thirst?!
Starvation:
A Weapon of the Defeated
Looking at the reasons for the siege
and starvation in Mecca and Gaza, we find that the reason is the same:
failure and defeat. After the first pre-Islamic era failed to stop the
rising tide of the Islamic call, and Quraysh suffered defeat after defeat in
their attempts to extinguish the surging star of the faith, and after Hamza ibn
Abd al-Muttalib and Omar ibn al-Khattab embraced Islam, and Abu Talib rejected
all attempts to hand over his nephew, and the Prophet (peace be upon him)
refused all attempts at persuasion and intimidation to abandon his call,
Quraysh felt a resounding defeat. They then resorted to this satanic method
to stop the advancing Islamic tide, resulting in this unjust and brutal
siege. "And they resented them not except
because they believed in Allah, the Exalted in Might, the Praiseworthy" (Surat
Al-Buruj: 8).
Thus, the siege was the weapon of
the defeated whose schemes had failed, whose eyes were blinded, and whose
minds had strayed from achieving the result and goal they sought.
This is precisely the reason that
forced the Zionist occupation, along with America and Europe, to impose the
unjust siege on the innocent people of Gaza. After they subjected Gaza to
widespread killing and bombardment from air, sea, and land, and after they
dropped over 100,000 tons of explosives on Gaza, destroying hospitals,
bakeries, schools, mosques, churches, homes, and roads, and killing over 52,000
martyrs, the people of Gaza still have not raised the white flag!
The occupation then resorted to this satanic
ploy, imposing a devastating and complete siege. They resorted to siege and
starvation to break the will of the steadfast, patient people who cling
to their deeply rooted right to their land. By Allah's will, the result will be
nothing but a great victory for the people of the land defending their land,
honor, holy sites, and the first Qibla of Muslims. Allah says: "And let not those who disbelieve think that Our
postponing for them is good for them. We only postpone for them that they may
increase in sin, and for them is a humiliating punishment" (Surat
Al-Imran: 178).
