    Kuwaiti oil price up 79 cents to USD 60.73 pb

KUWAIT, Jan 26 (KUNA) -- The price of Kuwaiti oil went up by 79 cents to USD 60.73 per barrel (pb) Friday after being at USD 59.94 pb the day before, said the Kuwait Petroleum Corporation (KPC) Saturday. Globally, prices went up due to political instability in Venezuela, which is threatening crude

supply to shrink. The price of the Brent crude future contracts was up 55 cents, settling at USD 61.64 pb, while the West Texas Intermediate crude contracts gained 56 cents to settle at 53.69 pb.
