The Sixth Social Work Forum, organized by the Social Reform Society in Kuwait under the slogan "Safety for Kuwait ", denounced the terrorist attack on Muslim worshipers in two mosques in Christchurch, New Zealand, resulting in deaths and injuries.
"We condemn, in the strongest terms and with all sorrow and lamentation, this terrorist, criminal and shameful act of extremism and hatred that is unaccepted by all religions, customs or values of coexistence among peoples," the statement said.
The Forum, which is named "Safety for Kuwait" affirms the responsibility of the international community to confront the rhetoric of hatred, terrorism and incitement. The Forum also expresses its deepest condolences and sympathies to the families of the victims and the deceased, asking Allah, the Almighty to grant the deceased mercy and satisfaction, and to grant the wounded speedy recovery, and "May Allah keep safe not only Kuwait, but all those who keep safety, security and protection around the world." The declaration states.
