PETRA) - The Islamic State in Iraq and the Levant (IS), claimed that, its fighters controlled Khanaser-Athriya road, the last supply line of the regular troops to the south-east of Aleppo city, north Syria.

The militant group cut the lifeline for regular troops after attacking a military camp in Al-Gharib valley with two car bombs amid fierce fighting, the opposition Syria Mubasher Network (SLN) reported, citing sources of the group.

During the clashes at least 30 soldiers were killed and dozens others wounded.

The opposition fighters also controlled eight military checkpoints, destroyed three thanks, and captured two tanks, an armoured vehicle and a quantity of machine guns, according to the report.

In a related development, the regular troops, backed by Russian warplanes, continued to attack Al-Nu'mana village, south Idlib, north-west Syria.

The Russian-Syrian air attacks and artillery bombardment resulted in several massacres, targeted a hospital in the village and forced large numbers of families to flee, according to local sources.

In Homs city, the Islamist Al-Nusrah Front used explosive devices, to attack two camps of the regular troops, including the premises of the State Security Department.

The attacks, which came in retaliation for the Russian air strikes, led to several casualties among the government forces, Shaam News Network said.

Fierce fighting is also reported between the opposition groups, including the Islamist ones, on one hand, and the regular troops and the Lebanese Hezbollah fighters, on the other, in several parts of Hama governorate.
