Saudi Arabia known for strict implementation of Shariah laws, have recently propelled in social and technological aspect as they’re trying their best to re-brand Saudi Arabia for Vision 2030.
It is to be noted that Saudi authorities have decided not to shut shops or businesses during prayer time as they want to keep the business running 24/7 to ensure the better economy.
Saudi Arabia’s Shoura Council’s member, Dr. Al Gaith, told the media that there is no legal explanation to close shops for prayer after changing the bylaws of the Saudi authority. He added that forcing people to shut down their businesses and forcing them to go to the mosque has no basis as per law neither in Shariah law as well.
He said by doing so is the breach or law and the infringement on people’s religious rights as well worldly rights as forcing people to do something would just create conflict and differences.
Saudi Arabia is now eyeing to become a tourist-friendly country. Non Muslims are now allowed to visit the country as well as Saudi Government had also granted permanent residence to a foreigner, imagining all this few years back was impossible.
