Equating the Victim with the Executioner

Iran's conservative President Ebrahim Raisi and his foreign minister died in a helicopter crash in Iran's isolated northwest on Sunday, raising new concerns as the country's strict religious leadership manages growing tensions in the region and unrest at home.

The passing of two of Iran's top political leaders occurred as the nation faces major economic and political challenges, while tensions with Israel escalate to a critical point.

Footage from a drone captured by the Red Crescent and shown on Iranian state media revealed the crash scene of the helicopter on a steep forested hillside, with only a blue and white tail remaining of the aircraft.

The crash on Sunday happened while Raisi, aged 63, and Foreign Minister Hossein Amir-Abdollahian were coming back from an event celebrating the inauguration of a dam at Iran's border with Azerbaijan, as stated by state media.

On the ship were three crew members, the governor of Eastern Azerbaijan province, an imam, Raisi's head of security chief, and a bodyguard, as reported by IRGC-controlled media outlet Sepah.

The collision led to a search-and-rescue mission that lasted for hours, with support from the European Union and Turkey, among others. However, the thick fog and dropping temperatures made it challenging for emergency teams.

The passing of Raisi occurs during a delicate period for Tehran internally and after seven months of Israel's conflict with Hamas in Gaza, causing tensions to escalate in the Middle East and revealing the ongoing covert battle between Israel and Iran.

Iran conducted a never-before-seen drone and missile strike on Israel last month, marking its initial direct assault on the country, following an apparent Israeli airstrike on Iran's consulate in Damascus.

In recent years, Iran's hardline leadership under Raisi has experienced considerable difficulties, as it has been disrupted by protests led by young people against clerical authority and harsh economic circumstances. Officials in Iran.

Dear fellow members of the Society...

A closer look at the conditions of some societies in which strife, division, and disagreements have raged, and which have become arenas for incitement and provocation, calls us to assume our societal responsibility and call for the preservation of the country’s stability, security, cohesion, and national unity, away from everything that raises strife and harms stability.

We are fully confident in the keenness of His Highness the Prince, may God protect and preserve him, for the homeland and the citizens, and for preserving the country’s historical gains preserved by the forefathers and early founders who sought to preserve its security, identity, economy, constitution and unity.

We call on His Highness, may Allah protect and preserve him, to advance our dear homeland and its roles and responsibilities towards our Arab and Islamic affiliation. Especially Kuwait's historical role in humanitarian work in general and the Palestinian issue in particular. Chiefly at this time when a war of extermination is being waged by the Zionist enemy against our people in Gaza, Jerusalem and the West Bank.

May Allah Almighty protect Kuwait, its Emir and its people from all harm, and protect it from temptations, both apparent and hidden.

Zionist General: Hamas Cannot Be Overthrown.

Major General Isaac Brik, reserve in the occupation army, said: The “Israeli” army does not have the ability to overthrow the Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas), even if the war lasts for a long time.

Brik questioned whether it would be possible to keep fighting in the Gaza Strip, stating that Israel would suffer significant losses if it did so, including the collapse of the Strip's economy and the Israeli reserve army in a short amount of time. in addition to the internal disintegration of its society and the decline of its foreign relations.

Brick said: Failure to make a decision on “the day after the war” will lead to more deaths among the ranks of the “Israeli” army, especially after it returned to fighting in the same areas it was in before.

Brik pointed out that entering Rafah would be the final nail in the coffin of Israel's ability to topple Hamas, according to what Al Jazeera reported.
