 Message of Reassurance and Responsibility… Al-Islah Society Calls for Steadfastness and Unity in Facing Current Developments

In light of recent developments and circumstances requiring awareness and steadfastness, and out of concern to strengthen public calm and reinforce national responsibility, the Social Reform Society affirmed that the current stage requires collective solidarity and unity, while upholding values of faith and wisdom in word and deed.

Based on its religious duty and social role, the Society addressed citizens and residents of Kuwait, urging adherence to official instructions, accuracy in relaying information, and avoidance of anything that may spread anxiety or fear. It emphasized the importance of fostering reassurance and sincere reliance on God Almighty.

The statement highlighted key principles:

  1. Maintaining calm and avoiding fear, as nothing befalls a person except what God has decreed.
  2. Avoiding the spread of unverified news, stressing reliance on official sources.
  3. Frequent remembrance of God, which brings peace to hearts.
  4. Supplication for relief from hardship and protection for Muslims.

The Society concluded with prayers for Kuwait’s leadership and people, asking God to safeguard the nation from harm.

Kuwait in Two Messages to the United Nations and the Security Council: We Affirm Our Inherent Right to Self-Defense

Confirmed that the security of GCC states is indivisible

  • Call on the international community to unequivocally condemn Iran’s unjustified attacks on the region’s states.
  • Take measures to put an end to Iran’s violations undermining regional and international peace and security.

The State of Kuwait sent two identical letters to both the Secretary-General of the United Nations and the President of the Security Council regarding the heinous attacks launched by the Islamic Republic of Iran against Kuwait, randomly targeting a number of civilian facilities in blatant violation of the country’s sovereignty and airspace, and in flagrant breach of the fundamental rules and principles of international law, the Charter of the United Nations, and the rules of international humanitarian law.

According to a statement from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Kuwait noted in the two letters that a number of casualties resulted from these attacks, including two martyrs from the Kuwaiti Armed Forces and dozens of injured.

Kuwait stressed in the identical letters its condemnation, in the strongest terms, of the heinous Iranian attack that targeted its territory and the region’s states, and reaffirmed its inherent right to self-defense under Article 51 of the United Nations Charter, as well as to take whatever measures it deems appropriate to protect its territory, airspace, people, and residents.

It further emphasized that the security of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) states is indivisible, and that any threat or attack against one member state constitutes a threat or attack against the collective security of all.

His Highness Sheikh Ahmad Al-Abdullah, Prime Minister, paid an inspection visit to the National Control Center of the Ministry of Electricity, Water, and Renewable Energy, accompanied by Dr. Noura Al-Mashaan, Acting Minister of Public Works and Acting Minister of Electricity, Water, and Renewable Energy.

His Highness reviewed the workflow and the regularity of procedures followed in the various sections of the center, stressing the importance of raising performance efficiency and ensuring the continuity of vital services, particularly under current circumstances that require the highest levels of readiness and preparedness.

He also listened to a briefing from officials and those in charge of operations at the center on how to deal with emergency situations to ensure the highest standards of safety and security, praising the national competencies managing the facility.

The Muslim World League strongly condemned Iran’s treacherous and ongoing random aggression against the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the region’s states.

In a statement issued by the League’s General Secretariat and carried by the Saudi Press Agency (SPA), the Secretary-General and Chairman of the Council of Senior Scholars, Sheikh Dr. Muhammad bin Abdulkarim Al-Issa, denounced this blatant Iranian aggression against peaceful neighboring countries, affirming that it constitutes terrorism and corruption on earth by violating all religious values, international and humanitarian laws and norms, as well as breaching bilateral agreements and the principles of good neighborliness, deliberately targeting civilians and civilian sites, and terrorizing the innocent during this blessed month.

On behalf of the League’s assemblies, bodies, and global councils, and on behalf of all Muslim peoples under its umbrella, he praised the wise handling by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the Arab countries affected by this dangerous Iranian recklessness, their keenness to protect their territories and citizens, their commitment to preserving security and stability in the region, and their efforts to spare it the risks of war escalation and its repercussions.

 Ministry of Social Affairs Urges Public Benefit Associations to Postpone Non-Urgent Activities

Except for activities of urgent nature or tied to specific legal deadlines

Out of concern for organizing work and prioritizing tasks during the current stage, which is marked by challenges and exceptional circumstances facing the country, the Ministry of Social Affairs has called on public benefit associations to postpone all non-urgent activities and events, or those not linked to binding legal or contractual obligations, until further notice. The ministry emphasized focusing on essential priorities that support stability and national recovery.

The ministry stated that exceptions include activities of an urgent nature, those tied to specific legal deadlines, or those whose postponement would result in proven legal or financial harm. Such activities must be coordinated in advance with the Department of Public Associations to ensure alignment with general directives.

The ministry also urged associations to inform their boards of directors and executive committees of the contents of this circular to act accordingly, stressing the importance of collective cooperation in confronting these circumstances.

 Kuwait Banking Association: Banks Continue Providing Services with Full Efficiency and Readiness

In light of the current circumstances facing the country

The Kuwait Banking Association affirmed the banking sector’s keenness to continue providing its services with high efficiency and full readiness, in light of the current circumstances the country is experiencing, following coordination with the Central Bank of Kuwait.

In a press statement, the Association explained that local banks are committed to maintaining the highest standards of quality and continuity in their operations, with all banking services continuing to be provided to customers as usual and unaffected by prevailing conditions.

The Association pointed out the continuous availability of cash in ATMs, stressing that banks work to replenish these machines periodically and regularly to ensure their constant readiness to meet customers’ needs without interruption.

It also emphasized that banks continue to provide services through their various branches in a normal and regular manner, alongside the uninterrupted operation of all digital banking channels, including mobile applications and electronic services, around the clock, enabling customers to carry out their transactions easily and securely.

The Association concluded by praying to Almighty God to safeguard the State of Kuwait and its people, and to perpetuate upon it the blessings of security, safety, and stability.

 Al-Najat Charity Places All Its Resources at the Disposal of Official Authorities

Dr. Jaber Al-Wanida, Director General of Al-Najat Charity Society, stated in a press release that the association is placing all its material and human resources at the disposal of the competent official authorities to support efforts for security and stability in the country.

Al-Wanida called for unifying national and official efforts in facing these exceptional circumstances, urging everyone to remain calm, to seek information only from accredited official sources, and not to be misled by rumors.

He added that Kuwait—its leadership and people—has always demonstrated the ability to overcome the most difficult circumstances, noting that the national role requires solidarity within society and full compliance with the instructions issued by state ministries to safeguard the nation’s security and safety.

Al-Wanida concluded his statement with a prayer: “O Allah, preserve the State of Kuwait, its people, and residents, as well as all Muslim countries and the entire world. Protect it from all harm, and grant its leadership and people success in all that ensures goodness and stability.”

 Al-Najat Charity: 46,000 Cases of Relief in Kuwait

Sheikh Talal Fakher, Assistant Director General for Resources at Al-Najat Charity Society, affirmed that the “Abshiroo Bil-Khair” project continues to establish itself as one of the most prominent humanitarian initiatives within Kuwaiti society, through its ongoing support for needy families in Kuwait.

Fakher explained that the association is launching the project this year, 2026, for the ninth consecutive year, noting that the total number of beneficiaries since its inception has exceeded 46,600 individuals in Kuwait. He emphasized the association’s commitment to reaching the families most in need, pointing out that the assistance has included paying housing rents, providing direct financial aid, and covering school fees for students.

He stated that the project targets families exhausted by circumstances, foremost among them families of patients, widows, orphans, divorcees, low-income earners, and those without providers. He stressed that the association is keen on conducting precise field visits to study cases and ensure that support reaches those who truly deserve it.

Fakher added that rent payments are made directly to property owners through official checks, within a work system based on transparency, documentation, and measuring the impact of assistance.

Al-Hayat Charity Reaches 3 Million Beneficiaries in Three Years, Expands Ramadan Projects

Kuwait’s Al-Hayat Charity Association has announced that its humanitarian and charitable initiatives have benefited more than 3 million people over the past three years, both locally and across 22 countries. Vice Chairman Dr. Mohammad Al-Barak highlighted the association’s diverse programs, ranging from Qur’anic education and seasonal campaigns such as Iftar Al-Sa’im and Fazaat Khair, to medical support for cancer and kidney patients, orphan sponsorships, and relief efforts in Gaza, Yemen, and Syria. In 2025 alone, 364,562 people benefited from 127 projects in Kuwait and abroad. During Ramadan, the association launched a wide package of initiatives including food baskets, water wells, mosque construction, and aid for vulnerable families, reaching 125,000 beneficiaries last year. In a press statement, Customs confirmed the smooth entry and exit of travelers through all land ports by intensifying customs teams and activating field work plans to ensure the rapid completion of procedures without compromising security and inspection requirements.

It added that it continues direct and ongoing coordination with the Directorate General of Civil Aviation, Kuwait Ports Authority, and relevant clearance authorities to accelerate customs clearance of goods and reduce release times, contributing to raising the level of services provided to stakeholders and achieving the highest degrees of operational readiness.
